Product Studio is Level 0: it reads only your product catalog to plan a deals-montage timeline. It never reads orders, customers, or checkouts.

What Product Studio accesses
read_products
Product titles, prices, compare-at prices and featured images — used to plan the montage timeline and the honest price-drop badges.
Nothing else
Product Studio requests no other scope. It cannot write to your store, and it cannot read orders, customers or themes.
What Product Studio never accesses
Orders, customers, checkouts, or any personally identifiable customer data. Product Studio does not request read_orders, read_customers or related scopes — it is structurally unable to read them.
How your data is handled
- Catalog snapshot only: we read the products you select to plan the timeline; we store the resulting plan (scenes, durations, transitions, real price-drops), not your full catalog.
- Managed session store: Shopify access tokens live only in the app's session storage and are deleted on uninstall and on shop redaction.
- Deleted on uninstall: on app uninstall and on a Shopify shop-redaction request, all of your data is removed.
Honesty
The montage timeline is deterministic, and a price-drop badge is shown only when a product is genuinely discounted (its compare-at price is higher than its price). Product Studio never invents a saving.
